Storology Storage (“Storology,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you visit www.storologystorage.com, rent or reserve a storage unit, visit one of our facilities, communicate with us, or otherwise use our services.

Our website and rental process use integrated software and services provided by Cubby Enterprises, Inc. for storage-unit management, reservations, rentals, tenant accounts, payments, facility access, and customer communications. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

We may collect information you provide when you request information, reserve or rent a unit, create or manage an account, make a payment, contact us, use facility access systems, or communicate with our staff. This information may include:

  • Name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number
  • Account, lease, reservation, unit, and rental-history information
  • Emergency-contact information
  • Vehicle and parking information, when applicable
  • Payment and transaction information
  • Communications with us, including emails, text messages, support requests, and recorded incoming calls
  • Any other information you choose to provide

Photo Identification

Storology requires tenants at all locations to upload images of the front and back of a photo ID during checkout. The ID is transmitted through Cubby’s system and reviewed manually by authorized Storology facility staff.

Cubby does not perform automated facial matching, document authentication, or other automated identity-document verification. Cubby’s identity and access management functions are limited to login, authentication, and account-access permissions.

Payment Information

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers, including Stripe or Payabli, depending on the transaction. These providers receive the payment information needed to process the transaction. Storology and Cubby may receive transaction details, payment status, and limited payment identifiers but do not use payment information for unrelated purposes.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use our website, certain information may be collected automatically, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser, device, and operating-system information
  • Pages viewed and actions taken on the website
  • Referring website or traffic source
  • Approximate location derived from an IP address
  • Cookies, analytics identifiers, and similar technologies

Our facilities may also collect gate and access records and security-camera footage for security, access management, incident investigation, and property protection.

How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Process reservations, rental agreements, payments, and move-outs
  • Create and manage tenant accounts
  • Confirm identity and review photo identification
  • Provide and monitor facility access
  • Communicate about rentals, payments, access, account status, availability, and customer-service matters
  • Send promotional communications when authorized
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website, facilities, and services
  • Analyze website usage and service performance
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, and other unlawful activity
  • Investigate incidents, disputes, and potential violations of our agreements
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and contractual obligations
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

Service Providers and Other Disclosures

We disclose personal information when reasonably necessary to operate Storology and provide requested services. Providers may include:

  • Cubby Enterprises, Inc., for storage-management software, reservations, rentals, tenant accounts, checkout, ID uploads, access management, and customer communications
  • Stripe or Payabli, for payment processing
  • Spoke and Twilio, for communications
  • CallRail, for call routing and recording
  • Duda and website-development or maintenance providers, for website hosting and operation
  • Google Analytics, for website measurement and analytics
  • Information-technology, security, legal, accounting, insurance, and other professional service providers

These providers may use personal information only for the services they provide to us or as otherwise permitted by their agreements and applicable law.

We may also disclose information:

  • When required by law, legal process, court order, or a valid government request
  • To protect the rights, safety, property, and security of Storology, our tenants, our personnel, or others
  • To investigate fraud, misuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity
  • In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction
  • At your direction or with your consent

Cubby has confirmed that it does not share Storology customer information with marketing, advertising, analytics, or lead-generation partners beyond providers needed to operate the Cubby platform.

Text Messages and Mobile Information

We may send transactional text messages concerning reservations, rentals, payments, account status, access, security, customer service, or other service-related matters. We may send promotional text messages when you have separately authorized them. Message frequency varies, and standard message and data rates may apply.

You may reply STOP to discontinue text messages and HELP for assistance. Opting out of text messages does not prevent us from contacting you through another permitted method when necessary to administer your account, fulfill a request, or provide legally required notices.

We do not sell or disclose mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or messaging consent to third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide this information to communications and technology providers, including Spoke and Twilio, when necessary to deliver messages, support our messaging program, prevent fraud, or comply with law.

Call Recording

Incoming calls to Storology are recorded through CallRail. We use recordings for customer service, quality assurance, training, recordkeeping, incident review, dispute resolution, and security. Call recordings may include the caller’s telephone number, voice, statements, and information discussed during the call.

Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies needed to operate the website, remember settings, understand traffic, and measure performance. We use Google Analytics, and our website and Cubby components may set additional operational or analytics cookies.

You can limit cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some website or account functions. Information collected by Google Analytics is also governed by Google’s applicable privacy terms and controls.

Data Location

Cubby has confirmed that Storology customer information handled through Cubby and the providers Cubby identified for payment, communications, and access-management functions is stored and processed within the United States. Other providers may process information in accordance with their own infrastructure, agreements, and privacy policies.

Data Retention

Cubby retains tenant information for the duration of each tenant’s rental or account relationship with Storology. Cubby retains logs for at least six months after that relationship ends. Cubby does not maintain a separate standard deletion period beyond that log-retention period and may retain information longer when necessary for legal, regulatory, compliance, or technical purposes.

Storology and its other providers retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including account administration, facility operations, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, financial recordkeeping, and the establishment or defense of legal claims. Different categories of information may be retained for different periods.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect personal information. However, no website, network, storage system, or electronic transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal information
  • Access or obtain a copy of your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion of personal information, subject to applicable exceptions
  • Obtain certain information in a portable format
  • Opt out of certain processing involving the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling, if applicable
  • Appeal a decision concerning a privacy request
  • Exercise privacy rights without unlawful discrimination

We may need to verify your identity before completing the request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, subject to verification of the agent’s authority.

If we deny a request, you may appeal by emailing support@storologystorage.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal” and explaining why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. If an appeal is denied, we will provide information about any further complaint process required by applicable law.

Some information may be exempt from access or deletion, including information we must retain to complete a transaction, administer an active rental, maintain security, comply with law, preserve evidence, resolve disputes, or establish or defend legal claims.

Communication Choices

You may opt out of promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message or contacting us. You may still receive transactional, account-related, security, or legally required communications.

Children’s Privacy

Our website and storage services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to us.

Our website may link to or incorporate services operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and this Privacy Policy does not control their independent practices.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
