Storology locations don’t all have the same unit mix. Start with what you need to store,
then use this guide to compare the sizes offered across our facilities in Tyler, Roswell, Athens and Crowley.

If you need regular access, leave room for an aisle. If you’re storing long term, you can pack more tightly.

Compare Storage Unit Sizes

Small Storage Units: 5x5 to 8x10

Small units provide roughly 25 to 80 square feet of floor space. They work well for boxes, seasonal decorations, dorm-room belongings, yard equipment or the contents of one bedroom.


Common Storology sizes include 5x5, 5x10, 6x10, 7x10 and 8x10. The exact sizes offered depend on the facility.


Good fit for:

  • Boxes and household overflow
  • A mattress, dresser and small furniture
  • Student storage between terms
  • Seasonal equipment and decorations

Medium Storage Units: 9x10 to 10x15

Medium units provide roughly 90 to 150 square feet. Depending on how everything is packed, this range can hold the contents of a one-bedroom or two-bedroom home, including furniture and major appliances.


Common Storology sizes include 9x10, 10x10, 10x12, 10x13, 12x12 and 10x15.


Good fit for:


  • Apartment moves
  • Furniture and appliances
  • Garage overflow
  • Small-business inventory

Large Storage Units: About 10x18 to 13x20

Large units provide approximately 180 to 260 square feet. These sizes are useful during a whole-house move, renovation or extended relocation. They also give contractors and businesses room for tools, materials and inventory.


Storology locations offer sizes such as 10x18, 10x20, 12x22, 10x25 and 13x20.


Good fit for:

  • A three-bedroom or four-bedroom home
  • Large furniture and appliances
  • Contractor tools and materials
  • Business inventory or equipment

Extra-Large Storage Units: 10x30 and Up

Our largest units begin around 300 square feet, with certain locations offering spaces as large as 20x40 or 27x30. This category is intended for large household moves, business inventory, equipment and contractor storage.


Available dimensions include 10x30, 10x36, 10x40, 12x35, 20x40, 22x30 and 27x30. These larger sizes are only offered at select properties.


Good fit for:

  • Large or multi-generational households
  • Commercial inventory
  • Contractor equipment and materials
  • Workshop or business overflow

RV, Boat, Trailer and Vehicle Parking

Selected Storology properties offer outdoor or covered parking for RVs, boats, trailers and extra vehicles. Spaces range from approximately 10x25 to 12.5x40, but parking type and availability vary by location.


Measure the complete vehicle, including the hitch, accessories and anything mounted on the front or rear, before reserving.


Available options may include:

  • Covered parking
  • Uncovered parking
  • Boat and trailer spaces
  • RV and extra-vehicle storage

    Drive-up storage units: 5x10, 6x10, 10x10, 12x10, 12x12, 10x20, 12x22, 12x24, 20x20, 25x22 and 20x40.


    Outdoor parking: 10x25 and 10x40.


    Storage units at this location are drive-up and non-climate-controlled. Current availability changes as units are rented.

  • Grande Boulevard, Tyler, TX

    Storage unit sizes: 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, 10x15, 10x20 and 10x30.


    Climate-controlled options are offered in every listed size. Drive-up, non-climate-controlled units are also offered from 5x10 through 10x30.

  • Highway 110, Tyler, TX

    Storage unit sizes: 8x10, 10x10, 10x15, 10x20, 10x25 and 12x35.


    Outdoor parking: 12x30.


    Climate-controlled options are offered in 10x15 and 10x20. Non-climate-controlled units are also available, depending on current inventory.

  • Hobbs Street, Roswell, NM

    Drive-up storage units: 5x10, 7x10, 8x13, 10x10, 10x13, 10x15, 12x13, 10x20, 13x18, 10x25, 13x20 and 10x30.


    This location offers ground-floor, drive-up storage. Check the facility page for units currently available to rent or join a waitlist.

  • Country Club Road, Roswell, NM

    Drive-up storage units: 10x10, 10x15, 15x15, 10x20, 10x30, 22x30 and 27x30.


    This property specializes in larger units, including contractor-sized spaces with high ceilings. Current availability varies.

  • North Loop, Athens, TX

    Drive-up storage units: 5x10, 9x10, 10x10, 10x12, 10x15, 12x15, 10x18, 10x20, 10x25, 10x30, 10x36, 12x30 and 10x40.


    Vehicle parking: 12x30 open parking and 12.5x40 covered RV or boat parking.


    Storage units are non-climate-controlled. Current availability changes as units and parking spaces are rented.

  • FM 1187, Crowley, TX

    Drive-up storage units: 5x10, 10x10, 10x15, 10x20 and 10x30.


    Vehicle parking: 12x30 and 12x40 uncovered spaces, plus 12x40 covered parking.
