Yes. Our covered spaces run 12.5 feet wide by 40 feet long with 15 feet of clearance, so a travel trailer, a fifth wheel or most motorhomes fit underneath with room to spare. The overhang keeps sun off the gelcoat and hail off the roof, which is the whole reason to pay for covered instead of open.
We also have 12x30 open spaces if you'd rather not. Both sit behind the facility gate, lit and camera-monitored.
Lake Athens is a few minutes east of us, so a boat kept here is closer to the water than it is to most driveways in town. Most neighborhoods won't let you park a rig at the house anyway.
Our 10x30, 10x36, 12x30 and 10x40 units have a door at each end. You pull in one side and out the other instead of backing a trailer down an aisle. If you've ever tried to reverse a 24-foot trailer between two rows of units, that's the difference.
Trinity Valley Community College is about three miles southwest of us and has been in Athens since 1946. A 5x10 takes a bed, a desk and the boxes when you're clearing out a dorm or a shared apartment for the summer. Finals week is when they go, so reserve before then.
Athens was one of the first Certified Retirement Communities in Texas, and a good share of what sits here is downsizing. A smaller house than the one you left, with the same amount of furniture. A unit gives you room to sort through it on your own schedule instead of deciding everything in one weekend.
Others are mid-remodel, or have a place on the market that needs to show empty.
